2012 Wrap Up

2012...you have been a full year! I always enjoy reminiscing on the past year and looking forward to what the new year will hold. This year we celebrated with friends who got married...

And we celebrated with friends who got engaged...

In January, we added another munchkin to the family...
We took advantage of every opportunity to spend time with the munchkins. I am thankful for the opportunity to watch these babies grow up...
Enjoyed the first family vacay in years...
We celebrated little brother graduating from high school...
And we spent time with our sweet friends...
We have much to be thankful for as we look back on 2012. I am excited to see what 2013 brings.

Christmas in Memphis

This year we spent Christmas in Memphis with my family. It was the first time Fletch has been able to spend a holiday with my family and I was so glad we got to go. Christmas morning started bright and early...
Gift tags made by Ev.

Hours later we finished opening presents and spent the rest of the morning relaxing and of course playing with the new toys.
Susu and Ab made this festive finger jello from the Pioneer Woman.
That afternoon we enjoyed a delicious Christmas meal.
And to top it off we almost had a white Christmas! We woke up the next morning to snow on the ground...

LuLu loved the snow.

Before we knew it we were back on the road heading home...and now it's back to work. We had a such a great trip. I always soak up the time that my whole family gets to spend together, it is something to treasure.

Sweetness of the Season

"Don't let all the sweet things of this season become substitutes of the final, great, all-satistyfing sweetness. Let every loss and every delight send your hearts a-homing after heaving. Christmas. What is it but this: I came that they might have life. Make your now the richer and deeper this Christmas by drinking of the fountain of forever. It is so near." - John Piper
I am so thankful for this time of year and the reminder that Jesus came into this broken world to make all things new.
JOY to the world. The LORD is come. Let earth receive her KING.
