I could really use a wish right now...

Well folks, all this registering has made my mind a steady stream of wish lists! Target has some boots I've been eyeing and when I was looking at them online it had an option of "add this to your registry" and I was very tempted! Also a problem is that I feel a large need during this season of my life to have new clothes, whether it be for engagement pictures, honeymoon, showers, or just because Fletcher isn't going to think its worth buying when we get married. All of these reasons have caused me to spend more money on clothes then ever before! These are the things I'm currently mulling over...

Item #1 unfortunately I couldn't get the picture to work right, but it can be found here:

Let the Festivities begin...

This weekend could not have been better! As sunday is coming to a close I keep wishing I could rewind and start it all over again. It was so fun to get to spend the weekend with friends and family and the couples shower was great! All the hostesses did such a great job and we felt so loved and celebrated! Pictures captured the weekend better than words in a post can do, so I'll let the pictures speak for the weekend! I'm so glad my mom, frank, and grammy made the trip to be there for the shower, and also glad the BH could come from all over Alabama and Tennessee! Thanks to all for a perfect weekend!

I could not ask for better friends! It was so great to spend time together this weekend, all laying on my bed and talking like old times!

Let the countdown begin...

I am eagerly counting down to this weekend! Two days left in the work week and three days until the beach house takes Birmingham by storm...We will all be together for the first time in over 2 months, and I can hardly wait! The reason for this reunion? A couples shower! Let the wedding festivities begin!

Thanks AK & UG

When we first got engaged Aunt Kristi and Uncle Garland gave us a gift certificate to go to the Cheesecake Factory. It was so thoughtful of them and with all the craziness we have hardly had time to go on a fun date. They gave it to us at the beginning of July and we have just now had a weekend in Birmingham to use it! It was such a treat to have such a nice dinner. And we were able to order dessert and coffee! It was so great! Above is the new reeses peanut butter, chocolate cheesecake...Yum! After dinner we went to see eat, pray, love. Which was unfortunately NOT enjoyable. It wasn't bad or offensive, but it was super slow/boring. I fell asleep 3 times, and at one point I looked around and half the people around me were asleep (including fletch). Even though honestly I think Fletch was awake for more of it than I was. The movie was 2 hours and 45 minutes! So do your boyfriends, fiances, husbands, and even yourself a favor and don't spend the big bucks to see it in the theater. This is one you could definitely wait to get it from red box! But dinner was a blast! Thanks Aunt Kristi and Uncle Garland for a fun date we wouldn't have gone on otherwise! Dinner + Dessert was quite the treat!

Cutest Couple Ties the Knot

This weekend I went to Nashville to witness one of the cutest couples ever tie the knot, Walt & Emily. It was great for the BH (missed you leah) to have a reason to all get together again. It was so fun to all be together and the wedding was perfect! In case you are skeptical of the title of the post, I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

They were so so so happy and it was so great to be a part of their big day.

Anna & I were loving the photo booth!

Sarah and Tom!!! I always love spending time with these two! I can't believe I didn't get a picture with Kree all weekend! We stayed at her house and I LOVED hearing her sing in the wedding! I can't wait to hear her sing again very soon! I can't think of another wedding I will be going to before November 6th so it was weird to think of the next time I'll be at a wedding it will be mine...can't wait to marry fletcher p. flynn. The only thing that would have made the weekend better would have been his presence in Nashville!

A Reason to Celebrate

Well this is the only picture I got before my camera battery died. Last night we had peanut butter pie in celebration of Fletcher's promotion!!! I am so proud of how hard he has worked the past year, and grateful that the Lord rewarded his hard work with a promotion! And of course we never pass up an excuse to celebrate with desserts! I'd say it was the happiest Monday we've had in a long time, starting the week off with a bang!

My latest good buys...

This has been a week full of good buys, I'm very excited about my latest purchases. The first two things I came across in People Style Watch. I love my people style watch subscription, and it has become particularly necessary now that I no longer live in the BH. Anna and Lacey always kept me in the know about the latest trends, and now that I don't have them to live with I have to pay more attention to my People Style Watch. The first thing is L'Oreal's eye shadow in "Summer Dusk". I LOVE IT. The section at Target said it was for any eye color, so it can work for anyone.

The second item is Maybelline's liquid eyeliner. Now I haven't had liquid eyeliner since my blue liquid eyeliner that I loved in middle school (for those of you who didn't have the pleasure of knowing me in middle school now you can imagine how cute I was). So here it is, Maybelline's Stiletto Liquid eyeliner, its awesome! I think its so fun to put on. And I'm convinced it looks different than my other eyeliner, but that may or may not be true. Its pretty early in the morning when I'm putting it on so I'm probably overly-amused with my eyeliner.

Last but DEFINITELY NOT LEAST, the purchase that has just happened...Taylor Swift's new song "Mine." I've been listening to it on repeat for the last 15 minutes (thanks banan for the wonderful habit of listening to songs over and over). I went to buy it on itunes and my itunes is messed up. I called my brother-in-law to try to figure out the trouble, but we couldn't figure it out. And I was needing to hear her new song so badly that I logged on to fletcher's itunes account and bought it. And poor fletch is at work so he has no idea, but I think he would support the purchase. A $1.29 song on itunes is probably the least of his worries at the moment, and he knows how much I love T. Swift!

After a week of frozen dinners and lots of saltine crackers, I found myself ready to cook again. Last night after church we had kind of a hodge podge meal, with the main dish being a Turkey Cranberry Braid. Because I was so hungry, I didn't take as many pictures of each step. First I cut up the turkey in to small pieces, then just started adding the rest of the ingredients and mixing them together...

On a pizza stone, take 2 cans of crescent rolls and separate each triangle. Place triangles on the pizza stone, facing out.

Fold the tips of the crescent roll pieces in to the center. Then brush the top with a lightly whisked egg white, and sprinkle with cheese.

This weekend at work I was given some roasted red pepper bisque. So even though it was blazing hot outside, we decided we would try the bisque as a side. I tasted it as it was warming up, and could tell it wasn't my favorite, so I gave Fletcher creative liberty with the soup, since he would be the one eating it. So every time I looked over he was putting something new in there! And Fletch is great about food presentation, and made the soup look like it was straight out of a gourmet kitchen!

And then finally it was time for the turkey braid to come out of the oven. I think it is definitely a recipe I will make again. Personally, I was a little overwhelmed by the dijon taste, but I did still like it overall (but my taste buds are kind of lame). Fletcher L-O-V-E-D it. And took all the leftovers home to eat this week for lunch.

Here are the ingredients:
1/2 cup celery
3 tablespoons parsley
9 oz (ish) package of deli turkey
1/2 cup Craisins
1 1/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1/2 cup mayo
2 tablespoons dijon
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 cans Crescent rolls
1 egg white

Oh and the recipe called for celery, and I decided I could do without the extra crunch, so it was great without celery, but if you love celery I'm sure it would be a great addition.
